Delete Your Account
This page explains how to request deletion of your Jom Local account and the data associated with it. Jom Local is operated by Battut Sdn Bhd.
How to request deletion
To delete your account, email us from the email address tied to your Jom Local account so we can verify the request is yours:
- Send an email to support@jomlocal.com with the subject “Delete my Jom Local account”.
- Send it from the same email address you use to sign in (Google, Apple, or email), or tell us the email registered on your account.
- We’ll confirm by reply and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What data is deleted
When we process your request, we permanently delete:
- Your account profile (name, email, and account identifier)
- Your reviews and ratings
- Photos you uploaded
- Your saved places and trip plans
- Your friends and friend requests
What may be kept, and for how long
- Anonymised diagnostics (crash reports) that are not linked to your identity may be retained for product stability.
- Records we are legally required to keep may be retained for the period required by applicable law, after which they are deleted.
Deletion is completed within 30 days of a verified request and cannot be undone.
