Timah Tasoh Dam JPS Perlis

Timah Tasoh is Perlis's reservoir — roughly 20 square kilometres of water held behind a dam at Beseri, supplying the state and regulating the rivers that used to flood it. For visitors it is simply the biggest open view in Perlis, with the Nakawan range along the northern skyline.

The dam structure itself is a working installation rather than an attraction, but the approach roads and the esplanade beside it are open, and the reservoir is the draw. Boats go out from the shore, kayaks can be hired at the sanctuary end, and anglers come for the freshwater fishing.

Sunrise is the visit worth planning. The water is glassy before the wind picks up, and mist often sits on the surface with the hills behind it.

It is about 30 minutes from Kangar. There is no charge to look at the reservoir; the activities on the water are priced individually and arranged on site.
